Your digital vignette is valid immediately after purchase unless you choose a future date.
For cars, vans and motorcycles up to 3.5 t you need an e-vignette to use Slovenian motorways/expressways. Heavy vehicles over 3.5 t must use the distance-based DarsGo system with an on-board unit (OBU).
Cameras and mobile inspectors check plates on the network. Driving on toll roads without a valid e-vignette is an offence and carries a €300 fine; procedures are handled by police/authorised officials.
Yes—there’s a separate tunnel toll for all vehicle categories and the e-vignette does not apply there. R1 vehicles (≤3.5 t) pay at the Hrušica toll booth; heavy vehicles are settled via DarsGo.
